Bottom Shelf Mixology: Black Lagoon

Welcome to Bottom Shelf Mixology™!  We have racked our brains (and our livers) to come up with special "bottom shelf" versions of popular drinks, and some original creations that range from "oh, that might be interesting" to "that sounds absolutely disgusting".  

It's almost Halloween, and that means it's time for some spooky cocktails!

Black Lagoon (Sea Breeze)

• 1 1/2 oz Crystal Palace Vodka
• 2 oz Store Brand Cranberry Juice Cocktail
• 3 oz Faygo Grape Soda
• Ice
• Black Licorice

Put the ice in your glass.  Pour the vodka, cranberry juice cocktail, and grape soda in the glass.  It should turn a nice, dark color.

Stir with a piece of black licorice, leaving it in the glass as a garnish.

Warning: Drinking too many of these may cause delusions of being able to breathe under water.  Please, resist all urges to go swimming.

Bottom Shelf Mixology: Nightmare on Elm Road

Welcome to Bottom Shelf Mixology™!  We have racked our brains (and our livers) to come up with special "bottom shelf" versions of popular drinks, and some original creations that range from "oh, that might be interesting" to "that sounds absolutely disgusting".  

It's almost Halloween, and that means it's time for some spooky cocktails!

Nightmare on Elm Road

• 2 oz Imperial Whiskey
• 2 oz Orange Drink
• 1 squeeze Store Brand Drink Enhancer Liquid (red color)
• Ice

Fill a tall glass with ice.  Pour in the whiskey and the orange drink.  Stir with a knife.

Add in the squeeze of drink enhancer, but don't stir it again.

Drink these non-stop while watching Freddy Vs. Jason, and prepare yourself for the nightmares when you pass out!

Well, we've come to the end of the road...

For Season One!

Yes, it's our season finale, and we ended things on a doozy.  We knew this was going to be bad, but we didn't know quite how bad it was going to be!

So watch me, Hammer J, and the Unpaid Intern Eric take our medicine!


Season Two will be here in November, and we've got a few changes coming!  A better camera! A better microphone!  Worse drinks!

Red Dead Redemption 2 Teaser Trailer

So far today, we got a trailer for Logan and a trailer for the Nintendo Switch. Both of those were huge trailers, and the hype all over the internet is out of control.

There is one more trailer to be hyped about today, and I think most people forgot about it being released.


It's short, but it looks gorgeous! Now if only Rockstar would put this on the Switch.

Now that I've calmed down and cleaned up the pee, let's talk about what we saw in the trailer.

First Logan Trailer Released

I am really digging the tone of this trailer.  It feels completely different than any of the X-Movies Fox has released, and that is a good thing.  The last few movies (The Wolverine, Days of Future Past, Apocalypse) have been middling to me, but this one actually has me excited.

Or maybe it's carryover from the anticipation of that NX Switch Trailer.

Anise and Green Apple.  A wonderful culinary combination.  Something we decided to put our BS spin on!  So, today, we have the ouzo and the pucker.  Mix them together with a bit of lemonade mix and olive oil, and you've got an Anise Pucker.  Sound terrible?  You're right!
