Bottom Shelf Mixology: Rejected Easter Drinks

Welcome to Bottom Shelf Mixology!  Our staff of Mixologists have racked their brains (and livers) to come up with special "bottom shelf" versions of popular drinks, and some original creations that range from "oh, that might be interesting" to "that sounds absolutely disgusting".

It's almost Easter, so we spent some time trying to come up with an Easter-themed drink.  We would have done something with Cadbury Eggs, but we already made a drink from them (back when there was all of the hubbub over the chocolate recipe being changed): Cadbury Eggnog.

In the process of trying to come up with a new drink, we ended up coming up with three wonderfully terrible recipes.

I give you our three rejected Easter drinks.

Scotch Egg
  • 3 oz J&B Scotch
  • 1 Egg
Crack the egg into your cup. Grab a fork, and start mixing the J&B in with the egg.  Slam it down like an alcoholic Rocky.

Peep's Cup (a.k.a. The Easter Russian)
  • 3 oz Crystal Palace Vodka
  • 2 oz Sabroso Coffee Liqueur
  • 1 carton Peeps Milk (your choice of flavor)
  • Ice
Place the ice in a glass, making sure you fill it about 3/4 of the way.  Pour in your Sabroso and vodka.  Gently pour in the Peeps Milk over the top.  If you have any handy, garnish the glass with a Peep.

Typhoid Mary
  • 3 oz Clamato juice
  • 1.5 oz Crystal Palace Vodka
  • 1/2 tsp Powdered Lemonade Drink Mix
  • 1/4 tsp Mrs Dash Fiesta Lime Seasoning Blend
  • Sriracha
  • 1 Bacon, Egg, Cheese, and Potato Go-Go Taquito (from 7-Eleven)
Our version of the classic Easter Brunch beverage.

Put the Powdered Lemonade Drink Mix in the glass first, then add in the vodka and a healthy squeeze of the Sriracha.  Swirl it around a little.  Add in the Mrs. Dash, and then the Clamato.  Stir it all together with the Go-Go Taquito (used in place of the celery stick).
