3 RiffTrax B-Movies to Watch Instead of the Oscars

This Sunday night may be the 87th Academy Awards, but who wants to sit around for hours and watch a bunch of celebrities congratulate themselves and try way too hard to be funny?  Wouldn't you rather watch them act in terrible movies while listening to jokes that are actually funny?

I have three RiffTrax B-movies for you to purchase and then watch this Sunday evening in place of watching the Oscars.  All three of them star actors who were nominated for Academy Awards, and one who actually won the coveted Oscar.   Of course, those nominations (and win) have nothing to do with these particular films.

RiffTrax Live 2015: The Crappening Announced!

The time has finally arrived: The 2015 season of RiffTrax Live shows has been announced!  And this is an amazing lineup!

This season of live shows has been dubbed The Crappening, and for good reason.  The four shows this year are The Room (May 6), Sharknado 2 (July 9), Miami Connection (Oct. 1), and Santa and The Ice Cream Bunny (Dec 3).  They are also running a new Kickstarter campaign, but unlike previous years where they ran a Kickstarter campaign for one movie, the campaign for this year covers all four films!

I am honestly having trouble getting all of this out in a coherent manner, because I am so excited about these movies!  Miami Connection is one of my favorite bad movies ever, and many fans have been eagerly awaiting a riff to happen.  Watch this and tell me this movie doesn't deserve to be riffed.

The Live show of Santa and The Ice Cream Bunny will be bringing with it a different print of the movie; the version that was riffed before had a movie about Thumbelina, whereas the Live show will have a movie about Jack and the Beanstalk.

The Room and Sharknado 2 should both speak for themselves.

This is going to be a great season!

It's Official: Spider-Man is Coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe!

After countless rumors and email hacks, it was officially announced that Spider-Man will indeed be making his way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.  In fact, the next time we see Spidey on the big screen will be in one of the MCU films.  Current speculation is that he will be in Captain America: Civil War, due to the fact he played a large role in the comic version.

After that, this new Spider-Man (yes, it will be another new version) will have his own stand alone movie, currently slated for release July 28, 2017.  This will take the place of Thor 3, which will now be coming out in November 2017, and Black Panther, Captain Marvel, and The Inhumans all get bumped back one movie slot.

Check out the press release after the jump for all of the current details.
