Bottom Shelf Mixology: The Boiling Hipster

Welcome to Bottom Shelf Mixology!  We have racked our brains (and our livers) to come up with special "bottom shelf" versions of popular drinks, and some original creations that range from "oh, that might be interesting" to "that sounds absolutely disgusting".

The Boiling Hipster (Boilermaker)

On your next trip to the store, make sure to pick up a bottle of Fleischmann's.  When you get home, pour approximately two ounces into one of your mustachioed shot glasses.  Then pull a can of PBR out of your fridge, and pour the entire thing into a chilled mug or tall glass.

Now, all you have to do is drop the shot glass of whiskey into the beer, and chug ironically.  Try not to spill any on your goatee or tweed jacket.

The Pumpkin Pie Showdown: Pop-Tarts vs. Toaster Strudel

Pumpkin Pie Pop-Tarts, my all-time favorite flavor of the wonderful little pockets of goodness, usually don't start showing up in stores until sometime in October.  However, everything pumpkin is hitting stores already, and the Pop-Tarts were no exception.  And even though I was surprised to find them, I was more surprised to find the new Pumpkin Pie Toaster Strudel flavor.

This was no coincidence.  I knew what needed to be done.  A no-holds-barred Thunderdome fight to the finish.  Two breakfast pastries enter, one breakfast pastry leaves.

Which one will be the ultimate champion of the breakfast world?

Surge Soda is Back

Yes, one of the greatest pops ever created is back!

After thirteen years, Surge is back on the market.  The good news is that it comes in larger sixteen ounce cans.  The bad news (for some anyway) is that it is only available through Amazon for $14 a case.

I will be ordering some as soon as possible.  Now they just need to bring back Josta.

The Best Scam Email I Have Ever Received

I just opened up my email and went in to clean out my spam folder, when one of them caught my eye.  It was from James Comey, the current director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the subject line was "Division and Cyber Crime Division (FBI)".

I've never gotten a scam email from the FBI, let alone from the director himself!  I knew it was going to be a good one.

Below is the email, one hundred percent unedited.  I think my favorite part is where they have noted people I've been in contact with, like Ben of FedEx.  And the fact that I could get a $5.9M ATM card for a mere $250. What a deal!
