The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Anniversary Edition Free Until Feb. 2
Did you buy your Nintendo 3DS any time after February 20, 2012? If so, you missed out on a good freebie: The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Anniversary Edition. The game was released as free DSiWare (and also through the eShop) for the twenty-fifth anniversary of The Legend of Zelda. And on February 21, the day after the anniversary year had ended, the game was no longer available.
Gamers have since been angry with the fact that Nintendo has not made the title available for purchase. And who can blame them? They were missing out on a fun multiplayer Zelda game.
Now, if you are one of those people who have been longing to get a copy of the game, your wait is over. Nintendo has re-released the game onto the eShop, and it is free of charge until February 2. Better hurry and download it while you can, because we have no idea if you will ever get the chance to acquire this game again.
Thanks to Fanceypants for pointing this one out to us!

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Video Game - First Look
This one seems like it is going to be... interesting. I like the fact that they going to give us a story where Kraven the Hunter is teaching Spider-Man, because it should force Peter to make some tough decisions. Hopefully, we the players will get to make those decisions to give them some more weight. I mean, we know Spidey would choose to do the right thing, but would you?

BREAKING NEWS: Beloved Mascot Itchy Found Slain in Home
Yesterday, I decided I needed to freshen up our logo a bit, and I ended up removing our mascot Itchy the Crab Louse. Itchy had faded into obscurity lately, and I figured her time with the site would be coming to an end. As it turns out, I was a bit prophetic.
Today when I arrived home from work, I found that our dog Rusty had once again escaped from the laundry room and made his way into the rest of the house. He had chewed up one of the water dishes, a wooden spoon, a few bath toys, and four plastic bags. The damage done wasn't anything major, but my hams were still a little steamed. Then, as I went to get him from under our bed (where he hides when he knows he is in trouble), I saw the grizzly murder scene.

The Bottom Shelf: Heaven Hill
The holiday season has come and gone, but The Bottom Shelf is forever!
Sorry about such a long wait between reviews, but Bottom Shelf Russ was doing some heavy research (ahem).
Heaven Hill is a cheap whiskey that, I am sure, got a lot of people thru their December activities and endless boring get-togethers with family. However, for me it was just another piss poor excuse for booze.

Review: New Poppin' Pebbles
When I was at the store last weekend, I came across a nice little surprise in the cereal isle.
Now, we don't have cable, and the kids watch most of their stuff on Hulu Plus and Netflix, so I don't know if they have been airing any commercials for these things. I have no idea when they came out, or how popular they are, but I saw them and knew I needed to try them (because I'm a pig, apparently).
I have no idea who came up with this one over at Post, but it feel like there were a bunch of people stuck in a conference room for thirteen hours until they came up with a new idea for Pebbles cereal, and they agreed to this just so they could all go home. Jenson's wife was going into labor, and everyone had to agree on something before they could leave. Either that, or some little kid wrote them a letter.
And a marketing guy saw it and thought it was brilliant, so he rushed them into production.
Those are the only two feasible ways that this cereal came to be.
