The Bottom Shelf: Imperial Whiskey

Hey turkey lovers! Greetings from the Bottom Shelf!

The Bottom Shelf With Russ: Imperial Whiskey

Thanksgiving is at hand! Many of us will eat, drink, argue, watch football, and nap in excess. Did I mention drinking? Bottom shelf whiskey is on the menu, of course, but how many of us really know the true roots of thanksgiving?

R.I.P. Winamp - April 1997 - December 2013

For me and other people who don't like to let go of things, Christmas is going to suck this year.  Why?  Because our present is going to be the loss of a much loved (and admittedly outdated) bit of llama whipping software.

The Newest Clan Member

To quote John Hurt, "Oh no! Not again!"

Meet child number four: Adalynn Heather, our new little alien baby!

(Ultrasound pictures have a tendency to look extra creepy sometimes)

This baby, and this day in particular, is extra special/tense/nerve-racking to my wife and I. On January 8, we had our ultrasound for our last child. While we were waiting to find out what we were having, we found out that she was no longer alive. What was once an exciting moment for us had turned to heartbreak.  Of course, we were worried about a repeat this time around, but that was not the case.

Sorry to get all "real" on you, but I never really talked about what happened on here, and I feel that if I want my readers to get to know me better, I need to open up more.

Nintendo Direct Nov. 13: The Legend of Zelda Edition

Today's Nintendo Direct has just wrapped up, and we got some great announcements out of this one.

It also started out goofier than ever, with an elevator ride that was interrupted by Reggie.

You can watch the video below, or if you can't watch it right now, you can read my summary.

Manos: The Gifs of Fate

Never has the process of making gifs from a movie been so difficult.  Trying to watch through the non-riffed version of this movie was physically painful.  It gave me a headache that I am still feeling the effects of the following morning.  And no, it isn't a hangover, I made the mistake of doing this sober.  Never again.

Coming Soon: A Very Special Gif Set

I know things have been kind of dead around here the past few days, and I apologize.  Between HMM wiping me out this year, and stuff at work, I haven't had much free time.  Later this week, however, this will change.  I just got a wonderful little DVD set that is chock full of horrible movies.  The Mesa of Lost Women, EEGAH, Dementia 13, The Beast of Yucca Flats, and the worst movie of all time:

What better way to get back into the swing of things than making gifs from bad movies?

Nintendo Discontinues SpotPass for Swapnote

Nintendo Ends Swapnote

Well folks, I hope you didn't enjoy using Swapnote too much, because you will be very disappointed today when you check for new notes.  Effective as of last night the SpotPass feature for Swapnote, which allowed you to send notes online to anyone on your friend list, was shut down.

Why you ask?  Dicks.  Lots of dicks.  Don't take my word for it though, here is the official announcement:
