Beetlejuice

A Halloween-themed trip down movie memory lane wouldn't be complete without this movie. Beetlejuice was yet another movie I saw when I probably shouldn't have. This time, we saw it during the day with all of the kids from the day care I had to stay at. We were off from school, and my mother was working, so I didn't have much of a choice. I really thought the day care workers were going to crap their pants when Beetlejuice dropped his F-bomb. It was great.
If you don't know, Beetlejuice is a movie about Adam and Barbara Maidland, a young married couple who die a tragic death. They are stuck in their home as ghosts, and if they leave, they will get eaten by sand worms. Their house is bought by the Deetz family, and the wife starts making major changes to the house. The Maitlands want them gone, and in trying to figure out a way to do it themselves, they unleash Beetlejuice.
Of course, Beetlejuice wants more than to help the Maidlands. His ulterior motives are none too good, and it's up to the Maidlands and Lydia Deetz to stop him.
Some of the things I remember from my childhood about this movie are the ways the Maitlands stretch their faces out to try and scare the Deetz family, and the little minister dude who persorms the marriage ceremony. That guy creeped me out more than anything in the movie.
I greatly enjoy this movie, but it is one that I just don't ever get around to watching nearly as often as I should. While you go hunt down the DVD of this movie, I will provide you with some Gifs Without Context.
