CSM '12: Home Alone

It's December, and almost Christmas! Therefore, I've decided to do a follow up to my surprisingly popular Halloween Movie Madness! Every night through Christmas Eve, I will be watching a different Christmas movie or special and then rambling on about them, sometimes even being coherent!

Home Alone is my favorite John Hughes movie.  I'll wait while you yell at your screen and throw things in fits of rage over what I just said.  Got that out of your system?  Good.  Now, notice I didn't say it was the best one.  I'm just saying that on a personal level, it is my favorite.

Watching it in my youth, I had always daydreamed about living in a house like that and it getting robbed.  I wanted to set some crazy traps using my toys so I could foil some bad guys.  Unfortunately, or fortunately from a sane perspective, that never happened.

Watching this as an adult, there is only one thing to take away from this movie: everyone is jerks.  The kids, the adults, everyone.  Jerks, the whole lot!  And no one likes lawn jockeys.  Their lawn jockey gets run over by everyone who pulls into the driveway.

Aside from that, my favorite part of this movie is the other movie that is in it: Angels with Filthy Souls.  I want to see that movie.  I would love a full length release of Angels with Filthy Souls.  I would watch the crap out of it.

Also, the GameBoy game based on this movie was pretty fun.

Tomorrow night, I'm going to be watching the only sequel in this series out of five, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.
