CSM '12: Frosty the Snowman

It's December, and almost Christmas!  Therefore, I've decided to do a follow up to my surprisingly popular Halloween Movie Madness!  Every night  through Christmas Eve, I will be watching a different Christmas movie or special and then rambling on about them, sometimes even being coherent!

This one is a short one, but I think in light of earlier events, I deserve a break.  Also, I'm officially shortening to Christmas Special Mania to CSM.

I detest Frosty.  This is my least favorite of the Christmas specials that we own.  I'm not really sure why, but I just can not stand it.  However, bringing up the subject allows me to talk about the Frosty that I love.

When it comes to Frosty, the only two things I like are the song and the original Little Golden Book.

Frosty the Snowman Little Golden Book

I used to have the book growing up, and I have fonder memories of it than I have ever had of the cartoon.  I don't know, maybe the cartoon version portrays the character as too "goofy".  I mean, I know there isn't anything serious about a pile of snow that is brought to life by a magic top hat, but I don't think Frosty needs to act like Corky.

Don't even get me started on the sequel cartoon with the spray that destroys snow.

Tonight's musical selection comes to us from Weird Al.  It's Christmas at Ground Zero!
