The Greatest Pop-Tarts of Our Time: Pumpkin Pie

Today, fall has officially begun!  I stopped at the store this morning to pick up something for lunch, and I happened across the best Pop-Tarts ever made!

I froze, my brain trying to process the awesomeness in front of me.  Then, I grabbed those four boxes and carried them around the store while gathering the rest of the items I was there for.

I know four seems like a lot, but I had to think ahead.  I got lucky finding this stack, and I know I may never see them in the store again this year.

Since I'm at work, I didn't want to leave them sitting in plain sight in my car, so I brought them in with me.  This might not have been a great idea, however, because I want to just sit here all day and eat all four boxes.  I won't though, because I don't want to walk around with all of that in my belly.

Also, I feel the need to mention what is happening over on the Pop-Tarts Facebook page.  California has a proposition coming up on the ballot for forcing companies to put a label on their food if it contains GMO, or Genetically Modified Organisms.   One of the arguments I saw was that people should get to "choose what they eat".  Guess what genius, you already can!  No one is sitting there force feeding you these delicious rectangles of goodness!  Go eat your organic toaster pastries and leave the rest of us alone.  "Oh no!  I'm eating something that contains a plant product that has DNA that was created specifically to make that plant tastier and easier to grow, thus providing better yielding crops!"  Get off your soap box, and go back to coddling your precious little snowflakes.  Besides, does ANYONE buy Pop-Tarts because they are a healthy food?  No.  If you do, you have more to worry about than weather or not there is a label on a food package.

Now if you will excuse me, I am going to go stuff my gob with chemically processed foods.
