After teaching my class this morning, I decided to stop at McDonald's for some lunch. I am so glad I did. Don't get me wrong, the eating of twenty chicken nuggets (I'm on a diet) isn't why I'm happy; I happened across one of the greatest Happy Meal toys of all time.
Yes, I got a severed hand from McDonald's today.
This toy is a thing of beauty. It is surprisingly detailed, and it is a pretty decent size for a toy that I paid $.95 for.
All of that pales in comparison to this toy's main attraction: the fingers.
See those wonderful little fingers? As you might be able to tell, they move! There is a little wheel on the palm of the hand that makes all four fingers do that thing you do with your fingers when you are bored. I don't know exactly what to call it. They do it in Looney Toons a lot. Here, let me show you:
Sorry about the quality of the video. And the sound. I was trying to cover the microphone so you didn't rear the rambling of my co-workers.
The only thing that would make this toy better is if you could pull it back, let go, and it would zoom off. As it stands, however, I am in love with this toy.
One final note: I had to park this far away from work yesterday:
That really small building in the background there is the college I work at. It took me ten minutes to walk from this space to my job. Ugh.
